世上無難事，只怕有心人。期末考試前，爲了協助同學備考及提升學習的果效，學校開設課後溫習班，並招募本校正就讀大學的畢業生回校擔任導師。老實說，最初我還擔心同學上了半天課，未必願意再回校參加溫習班；但想不到的是同學們的反應非常熱烈，報名人數逾百，出席率更超過九成。同學們積極學習、尋求進步的態度很值得我們欣賞及鼓勵，無論最後成績如何，這份認真的學習態度已是開啓成功之門的鑰匙，希望同學們能持之以恆，繼續努力！

 

      本學年雖有不少活動因疫情的緣故被迫取消，但同學們仍然十分珍惜每個機會，積極參與不同類型的比賽。活動的形式或許與以往不一樣，但同學們全情投入的熱情卻沒有減退，且表現出色，屢獲殊榮，讓我倍感欣慰，同學獲得的獎項包括：

Basic Life Skills (Part Two)

 

Engagement: cultivate interest, enjoy the process, have ideals, and devote yourself to life

This year we have experienced an extraordinary school year.

Under the influence of the epidemic, video teaching dominates everything. Although teachers have invested a lot of time and energy in teaching, the effectiveness of video teaching is still not as effective as physical teaching, and the teachers feel very helpless. In recent months, we have finally been able to return to school for half a day for all students. It is indeed a great pleasure for students to study and participate in activities on campus again. However, in the past days of learning through video, many students encountered difficulties or questions in their studies. How can the school assist students in reviewing and answering the problems encountered in online classes?

There are always more solutions than problems. The school has recently recruited several YKN graduates who are currently studying at the university. They are very happy to return to school to assist students in reviewing and give back to their alma mater. The alumni are careful and patient to answer the questions that they don’t understand in the online class, and prepare for the upcoming exams. To be honest, at first, I was worried that the students had already attended most of the day classes and might not take the initiative to participate in the afternoon review, but in the end, the response was very enthusiastic. More than 100 students participated, and the attendance rate exceeded 90%. The attitude of the students to study for progress is worthy of our appreciation and encouragement. Regardless of the final grades, the serious attitude of the students is half of the success. Everyone works hard!

Although many activities were cancelled due to the impact of the epidemic throughout the school year, the students were still actively participating in some static competitions outside the school. I feel very pleased that they performed very well and won many awards shown as follows:

1) 6C Tse Ho Yan received the highest award of Girl Guides, Lady Jane's Guide Award;

2) 5A Chow Cheuk Ying received the Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi Districts Outstanding Students Award;

3) 6A Lam Sing Yi, Yip Lok Yi and Zheng Jiayu received Champion and First Runners-up of Harvard Book Prize respectively;

4) 6A Lee Lok Sze received the Chinese History Study Award Scheme for All Secondary Schools in Hong Kong (Senior Section) First Prize and Hong Kong Young Historian of the Year Award Merit Award of the National History Education Center (Hong Kong);

5) 1B Lau Hiu Cheung and 3A Cai Yuanzhu received Gold Prize,1B Ye Chun Hei, 2A Wong Tsz Yin, 2A Wong Wing Lam and 3A Cheng On Kiu received Silver Prizes, 2A Shen Shu Hong, 3A Leung Chung Kiu, 3A Tse Yuk Shing and 3A Xu Hon Yu received Bronze Prizes, 1B Lam Siu Kwan, 2A Au Lok Yi Dorothy and 3A Law Wai Yan received Merit Prizes of Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Gifted Logic Competition;

6) We received 5 out of 7 awards at Hong Kong School Drama Festival:
     Award for Outstanding Script: Mr. Cheng Chun Yip and 5A Chow Cheuk Ying
     Award for Outstanding Performer: 5A Chow Cheuk Ying
     Award for Outstanding Sound Effects
     Award for Outstanding Cooperation
     Award for Commendable Overall Performance

7) Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (English):
    Solo Verse Speaking for Boys: 1B Tsang Yat Yin
    Solo Verse Speaking for Girls: 2A Wong Hau Ching

8) Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Speech Contest (English):
